Turkish Pakoray Ingredients:
- All-purpose flour (maida) – 1 cup
- Cornflour – 2 tbsp
- Instant yeast – 1 tsp
- Sugar – 1 tbsp
- Salt – 1 pinch
- Lukewarm milk or water – ¾ cup
- Vanilla essence – ½ tsp (optional)
- Oil – for deep frying
Sugar Syrup:
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Water – ½ cup
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- Rose water – 1 tsp (optional)
Method:

Prepare the batter
In a bowl, add maida, cornflour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
Slowly add lukewarm milk/water and mix well.
Batter should be thick but smooth.
Cover and rest for 30–45 minutes until batter becomes bubbly.

Frying pakoray
Heat oil on medium flame.
Take batter in hand or spoon and drop small balls into oil.
Fry until golden and crispy.

Make sugar syrup
In a pan, add sugar and water.
Boil until slightly thick.
Add lemon juice and rose water.
Turn off flame and keep aside.

Soaking
Immediately dip hot pakoray into warm sugar syrup.
Keep for 2–3 minutes, then remove.
Enjoy hot Turkish Pakoray.
